Tough day away for the boys yesterday.
We arrived early doors hopeful of a good game and a decent result but unfortunately it wasn't to be.
For large parts of the game we were the stronger team with more chances created than the opposition, but their giant of a keeper was solid and came to meet everything we threw at him. Add to that, the umpiring didn't help our cause with whistles blown far too soon or simply not blown at all meant we found ourselves on the wrong side of a 5-0 score line.
On another day, maybe at home with our own umpires, this could have easily been a big win. But we seemed to have no luck in this game so it simply wasn't to be.
A lot of positives to be taken from the game though and all the boys should be proud of the effort they put in from start to finish.
Let's use this as motivation to push on and get a result at home in the next fixture.
Man of the match was shared between 2.
Samuel in goal who commanded the D well, but was really unlucky with the goals the went in and really harshly had a penalty awarded against him.
Rushi, on another day could have had 4 or 5 goals. Got into great positions but every shot just seemed to fizz just past the post.
