Juniors Big Weekend!

After what seems to have been a mixed week for the senior teams, it was the junior section who once again provided the sunshine on a wet weekend!

The badgers team compromising of 11 and 12 year olds and a somewhat older and broken Ladies GK faced a team with several 15/16 year old players in it.

Well that didn't matter in the slightest, to our team.

We took the lead with an epic goal worthy of a premier team and we continued to press forward.

Holding them to 1.0 when they started to push forward more with the older players to level the score.

Without a shout we were the stronger team. 

The work rate from every single kid on the team left the coaching team virtually speechless (have you met Danny and Jo??)

Unbelievably a few disappointed faces but a post match team talk to put things into perspective made them realise how everyone should leave the pitch on cloud 9...

Sunday morning saw our U14 girls together with Westleigh travel to Towcester, no subs ..

2.1 down at HT... Looked a big hill to climb.. ... Apparently not. 💥 They played their socks off and won 6.3!!! 💥 With some great teamwork and even a penalty save!! You girls are gonna give the ladies section some selection headaches next season, that's for sure!

Onto the tournament 

Fortunately we have the greatest coaching team, helpers and parents... Who all mucked in with a day filled of pitch changes and reorganising ...

3 teams of U8s against some very big 'U8s' but ...None of them let that phase them! They went out there, stick in hand and played their hearts out. 

U10s undefeated.. for the smallest age group we have in the section... You wouldn't know it they were incredible.

The U12s saw some rapid deployment of GKs around the place to the best of their ability with an ever changing schedule.

Feedback from parents as ever heaps praise on our coaches and helpers.

Highest praise however to the kids...

They're incredible beyond words!!!
