Established in 2019 Ladies 1s are Charnwood Forest Hockey Club's women's first team. Captained by long standing club member, Georgia Relf, the team play in Midlands Women's Division 3 North East .
The warm, welcoming and ambitious Ladies 1s team kickstarted off the season of 2023/2024 by being moved from Midland Hockey Charnwood Division 4 to Peak Division 4. However, despite the unknowns, the side were hungry for promotion after narrowly missing out in the previous season and there was only one word to use to describe their season – GOALS. The forwards did a tremendous job of putting 120 goals past their opponents. They really were unstoppable, scoring 5+ goals in 10 of the games that were played. Something that would not have been possible without a solid, hard working and committed midfield and a defensive unit, that simply excelled and allowed only 18 goals against to be scored past them across the entire season.
An incredible season that secured PROMOTION to Midlands Women's Division 3 North East!!!
Ladies 1s are seeking new players to further strengthen the squad, if interested please get in touch for more information or alternatively come along to a training session, held every Wednesday from 7th August 2024 onwards.
